Elixir: Super Tonic ($15, released 2008)

Elixir is pleased to announce the release of our new CD. We've blended the raw energy of a honkin' horn section with some slick fiddling and absolutely awesome guitar licks to brew a musical tincture we call Super Tonic. You'll hear some of our favorite dance tunes, a couple of waltzes, a tango, and a few other surprises.

Isadore's Breakfast ($18, released 2008)

This fantastic CD by Anna Patton features a lively, creative mix of Swing and fiddle tunes for clarinet and string band, with Franco-flavored American music including crooked Quebecois tunes, musettes, close swing harmony vocals from Housetop, and a new Ben Patton original. Ethan plays fiddle on the CD; he also co-produced the album and did the graphic design.

Beeswax Sheepskin ($15, released 2007)

This recording by the band Beeswax Sheepskin draws heavily on material from Ireland as well as our own original compositions and highlights our adventurous approach to traditional music. We squeezed a lot of our favorite tunes into this album, backed them up with rich, dynamic groove and lush harmony, and put it all together with some great arrangements. We think you'll enjoy the result.

A is for Avocado ($15, published 2007)

A collection of original music by Ethan Hazzard-Watkins. A is for Avocado includes sheet music for thirty-eight of Ethan's compositions, with chord suggestions, tune notes, and an annotated Discography/ Bibliography. The volume measures seven by nine inches, is printed on heavy weight paper for durability and spiral bound to open flat on a music stand.

From A is for Avocado to Zinnia's Favorite, the tunes in this collection span a range of styles and moods; they include some melodies published and recorded elsewhere and others being released for the first time.

Selected traditional and original material arranged to highlight the diverse musical ideas that grow out of the New England contra dance tradition. Ethan's solo CD moves gracefully between high energy jigs and reels, contemplative airs, and lovely waltzes, flirting with musical ideas drawn from a wide range of styles.
